What's new at the Windmill: "Best Float" in Cheese Festival Parade

The Great Wisconsin Cheese Festival Parade took place on June 7th in Little Chute, much to the delight of the community. The Windmill and Historical Society entered the well-worn windmill float in the parade and won the honor of "Best Float"! St. John schoolchildren rode the float in Dutch costume, as well as 5th grade teacher Paul West and myself. Jim & Donna Hameister pulled the float with their vintage Ford Model A. This year we had lots of faux cheese wheels as decoration, which were provided by the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board. It is always a fun time and we are proud to be "Best Float"!
